Intel's Challenge Up program for IoT startups open for pre-registration.

Do you know any startups in the Internet of Things space that want to bring their services and solutions to market at a faster pace?

What is Challenge Up?

The Challenge Up program unites the startup world with the resources and knowhow of three leading Companies, Intel, Cisco and Deutsche Telekom. It is designed for early-stage start-ups creating solutions for the Internet of Things/Everything (IoT/IoE) and related areas, including connected and smart solutions (smart home, smart city, smart energy, connected cars, wearables, Industry 4.0), information security, big data, analytics, connectivity and cloud computing.   Each of the companies supporting the program bring specific expertise to support the startups with Intel providing smart connected solutions for the IoT from devices to data centers including software and hardware architecture and engineering, data analytics and security.   The program gives startups access to one of the best global mentoring networks offering industry know-how and advice in all stages of the IoT value chain. The startups can also accelerate the go-to-market readiness by leveraging the combined customer bases, sales channels and technology assets of Cisco, Intel and Deutsche Telekom.
Challenge Up 2015 – the Irish Connection

In October the Startup Gathering 2015took place across Ireland providing a platform to support and celebrate entrepreneurs - change makers, the innovators, the job creators, the ‘let’s make it happen’ people who launch businesses, bring ideas to life and drive Ireland’s economic growth.

The gathering included more than 300 events across five days which took place in Dublin, Kildare, Waterford, and Cork, Limerick and Galway, with additional Startup Gathering programmes also taking place in Ireland North East and North West.   This year for the first time the StartUp Gathering also has the privilege to host the 12 participating ‘early stage’ companies from the inaugural Challenge Up programme. These were the 12 finalist companies who had been selected from over 300 applicants across EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and who visited the StartUp Gathering as part of an extensive learning and networking experience offered by the Challenge Up Programme.   During their time in Ireland the 12 finalist teams were given the chance to participate in a number of events being hosted as part of the Startup Gathering as well as spending time at the IoT Ignition Lab at Intel’s Leixlip campus. The Ignition Lab, which was unveiled in June of this year, provides an optimised environment for engagement, learning and the efficient development of innovative solutions.
